What they do

Prison Fellowship is a Christian ministry that runs in-prison programs: the months-long Prison Fellowship Academy on criminal thinking, life skills, addiction and victim impact; volunteer-led classes and Bible studies; one- and two-day Hope Events; and Inside Journal, a quarterly newspaper distributed in prisons. Its Angel Tree program organizes churches to deliver Christmas gifts to children on behalf of an incarcerated parent, with camps and sports clinics through the year. It also runs Warden Exchange, a leadership program for wardens, and advocates for justice reform, including the annual Second Chance Month it launched in 2017. Founded in 1976 by Charles Colson.
